Harristown boys consider themselves “inducted” after their camp on the 3rd and 4th March at Lake Perseverance.

On Wednesday 2nd of March, the 2016 Year 7 Harristown boys boarded the bus to “Lake Perseverance” for their induction camp with the other Clontarf Academies from around Queensland. Once the boys met all the other Academies, they were split up into their colour groups for the games and activities planned for them over the action packed two days.

Activities participated in during the camp included the everyday Academy tasks such as; preparing meals, washing and tidying up. These tasks were done brilliantly by everybody involved which is encouraging to see as their time at Clontarf has only just begun.

The more fun filled activities included; building their own catapult, orienteering, archery and hot shots tennis. All of the Academy members showed great leadership and teamwork qualities across all of the activities.

The staff at Harristown High could not be more excited about the potential of the tremendous group of Year 7s.
