On Tuesday afternoon (18th August) a group from Harristown High’s new Clontarf Academy paid a visit to local business Charlton Tyre Service to see the ins and outs of everything tyres.

Operation Officer Daniel Blades’ younger brother Corey (himself a former Year 12 graduate of Harristown) showed the boys around the workshop, giving them an in-depth look at the process of changing flat tyres, repairing punctures, wheel balances and alignments.

The boys were extremely interested and a couple of them have enquired about possible work experience alongside Corey.

We would like to thank all the staff at Charlton Tyre Service who were extremely welcoming to all the boys and hopefully a career in tyres is in the future for one of these young men.
