“Before the Clontarf programme I was less focused, but having guidance from role models in the Academy, I pulled my head in and stayed in line,” Cameron Howard recounts with a smile.

This guidance, along with the social and judgement skills acquired helped Cameron make positive decisions once leaving high school.

He completed the Aboriginal Orientation Course and was accepted into the University of Western Australia where he began a Health and Microbiology degree.

Sighting better job prospects, Cameron has now embarked on a Business and Accounting degree at UWA, which he is enjoying immensely.

Cameron has an ambition to work his way up to a corporate area in business and to provide opportunities to people in his community.
